Located at the University of Pittsburgh, Detachment 730 is committed to training & developing quality leaders for the United States Air & Space Force. We support 15 crosstown colleges and universities in the greater Pittsburgh area.
We offer 2 Major Scholarships:
4 Year - Applied for between July-Dec of a High School Senior year
2 Year - $18,000 Annual Scholarship earned after acceptance and completion of Field Training (during the Summer Months)
Cadets have the opportunity to participate in a number of different activities in addition to weekly ROTC class and physical training, including community service, morale events, and Arnold Air Society.

If you are committed to Det 730 for Fall 2026 please communicate this to us and be on the lookout for our New Cadet Orientation to be conducted in late August 2026. Fill out our Interest Form to get on our mailing list so we can share to you specifics for this event and the items you'll need to accomplish for a smooth onboarding.
You can Enroll in AFROTC until the last day of Add/Drop for your school each semester.

We host our detachment at the University of Pittsburgh, but serve 15 other Cross-Town College & Universities within the region.
