Who We Are

Located at the University of Pittsburgh, Detachment 730 is committed to training & developing quality leaders for the United States Air & Space Force. We support 15 crosstown colleges and universities in the greater Pittsburgh area.

Cadet Life

Cadets have the opportunity to participate in a number of different activities in addition to weekly ROTC class and physical training, including community service, morale events, and Arnold Air Society.

Scholarships

We offer 2 Major Scholarships:

4 Year - Applied for between July-Dec of a High School Senior year

2 Year - $18,000 Annual Scholarship earned after acceptance and completion of Field Training (during the Summer Months)

We're hosting New Cadet Orientation Program on 23 August 2025 from 8am to 1230pm. 

You can Enroll until the last Day of Add/Drop for your prospective school each semester.

We have 6 Staff Members who run Detachment 730, with over 70 years of combined military experience.

We host our detachment at the University of Pittsburgh, but serve 15 other Cross-Town College & Universities within the region.
