Free Arts Encounters
PITT ARTS offers over 90 Free Arts Encounters and takes over 8,000 undergraduate students on the Pittsburgh campus each year on excursions to the most sought-after art events in the city, such as the opera, ballet, symphony, theatre, galleries, museums, film, concerts, and more. All programs are FREE to all full-time undergraduates at the Pittsburgh campus and include free transportation, and great free tickets. Some Arts Encounters program includes educational experiences such as live demonstrations, dialogues, and opportunities to meet international performers and artists such as Esperanza Spalding, Spike Lee, and Emanuel Ax. Undergraduate student leaders trained by PITT ARTS, lead the PITT ARTS Free Arts Encounters.
