Friday, January 5th

11 a.m - 2 p.m. OIS Welcome and Check-In WPU Ballroom (REQUIRED FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS)
Check in and grab some lunch with fellow international students before Spring Welcome officially begins!

Saturday, January 6th

9 a.m - 2 p.m. Residence Hall Move-In
All new students living in the residence halls can move in beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, January 6. Housing cart stations will be available from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. to help you move into your building. Additionally, the spring term meal plan will begin on Saturday, January 6.

12 - 2 p.m. Pitt Men’s Basketball Watch Party (Pitt vs. Louisville) WPU Nordy’s Place

3 - 4 p.m. Welcome Reception WPU Kurtzman Room (REQUIRED)
While enjoying hors d’oeuvres, new students, families and guests can connect with members of the Division of Student Affairs.

4 - 5 p.m. New Student Welcome WPU Assembly Room (REQUIRED)
Join your fellow Panthers as you are officially welcomed to the Pitt family by senior leadership!

4 - 5 p.m. Parents & Families, Get to Know Pitt WPU Ballroom
Calling all Pitt family members! This is your chance to learn more and ask questions about Pitt and what your student’s life on campus will look like.

7 - 9 p.m. Planting Your Roots at Pitt WPU Lower Lounge
Now that you’re on campus, it’s time to put down some roots! Make your living space your own with a new plant.

8 - 10 p.m. Blue and Gold Trivia WPU Nordy’s Place
Think you know Pitt? Time to prove it at trivia! Put your knowledge to the test and get to know some new Panthers.

Sunday, January 7th

11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Schedule Walks WPU Lower Lounge
Take the stress out of your first week of classes and practice walking through your schedule! This is a great opportunity to learn where your classes are and explore more of campus. Check in begins at 10:30 a.m. and walks start promptly at 11 a.m.

11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Spring International Orientation WPU Lower Lounge (REQUIRED FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS)
Learn about life at Pitt and what you can expect in your first semester on campus while forming connections with other students! Lunch will be provided.

12:30 - 2 p.m. Commuter Student Lunch WPU Kurtzman Room
Mingle with other commuter students and grab some lunch! This is your chance to connect with other students, meet some classmates, and connect with other Panthers who may be living off campus. Pre-registration is required.

2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Building a Pitt Community WPU Assembly Room (REQUIRED)
In this program, you will hear about what it means to be a member of the Pitt community and how you can be a Panther who is aware, supportive and an ally to all fellow students.

3:30 - 4:15 p.m. New Panthers on the Block Spirit Session WPU Ballroom
Take a snack break and learn some of our favorite Pitt traditions!

4:15 - 5:15 p.m. Navigating Your Safety & Well-Being at Pitt WPU Assembly Room (REQUIRED)
This program is an engaging and informative program that explores the realities of transitioning to college life and making responsible decisions. This session will cover information about alcohol, student conduct, sexual misconduct, safety on campus, and mental health resources.

7 - 9 p.m. Movie Night (Barbie) WPU Assembly Room
Hi, Barbie! Take a break and relax after your first day of classes at Movie Monday. Join us at 7 p.m. for a screening of Barbie.

8 - 10 p.m. Karaoke WPU Nordy’s Place

Take some time to get to know the resources available to you and the people here to support your growth at Pitt!

6 - 8 p.m. Cocoa and Convo WPU Lower Lounge
Interested in joining Greek Life at Pitt? Join members of Pitt fraternities and sororities for cocoa and to learn more about Greek organizations on campus.

Tuesday, January 9th

11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Student Success Hub Open House Student Success Hub (Langley Hall 217)

2 - 4 p.m. Student Affairs Open House WPU
There’s a lot to learn about Student Affairs - so take a tour of WPU, learn about different offices, and meet some staff members who are here to support you!

7 - 9 p.m. Sticker Making with Pitt Program Council WPU Lower Lounge
Get creative, make some custom stickers, and get to know Pitt Program Council - hosts of some of the best events on campus!

9 - 11 p.m. Pitt Men’s Basketball Watch Party (Pitt vs. Duke) WPU Nordy’s Place

Wednesday, January 10th

10 a.m. - Noon, 2 - 4 p.m. Student Activities Fair WPU
In both time blocks of our Activities Fair, learn more about student organizations on campus and how you can get involved. There will be different organizations during each block, so stop by both!

12:30 - 1:30 p.m. New Student, New Resume WPU 224
It’s never too early for career prep! Have your resume reviewed and get tips and tricks from someone in our Career Center.
