New Student Orientation

Online Orientation

Pitt’s Online Orientation for new, first-year and transfer undergraduate students is a series of required information modules, videos, and quizzes to help you prepare for college. This includes details about scheduling a meeting with your academic advisor and registering for courses online.

Access to the Online Orientation is now available. Details and instructions will be sent to your pitt.edu email.

Pitt IT assists students with rentals who do not have access to a reliable computer or Wi-Fi. Students can contact the Pitt IT Help Desk at helpdesk@pitt.edu or (412) 624-HELP (4357) to inquire about laptop and hotspot rentals.

Welcome Week

Welcome Week will take place Sunday, August 20 - Sunday, August 27, 2023. During Welcome Week, new students will come together to officially begin their first semester at Pitt! This week is filled with important information as well as engaging social events, and is intended to give you the best possible start.

Panther Connect

A great way to kick-start your college career is to attend Panther Connect. Panther Connect is your chance to meet fellow classmates, hear from Pitt staff and student leaders about the many opportunities and resources that are available for you, and learn more about what it's like to be a student at Pitt. If you come to campus for Panther Connect, you’ll stay in a residence hall and explore the campus and the city of Pittsburgh. If you cannot come to campus for Panther Connect, we will be offering a few virtual engagement options as well.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: All Students attending the Panther Connect program are required to be in compliance with the University’s guidelines on COVID-19 vaccines.
