Signature Days of Service

Our Signature Days of Service give you, as students, the opportunity to serve the Pittsburgh community with your friends, groups, organizations or Residence Hall floor! PittServes frequently coordinates opportunities for more than 500 students to spend a day serving in various Pittsburgh communities. We have three Signature Days of Service throughout the school year, one in the fall and two in the spring. Mark your calendar for each one!

Civic Action Week

The region’s largest day of service, this day of service engages over 2,000 students, staff, faculty and community members. Learn more about Civic Action Week.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

Following MLK week of service, MLK Day of Service is on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Learn more about Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.

Pitt Be A Good Neighbor Day

We join forces with the Office of Engagement and Community Affairs to engage everyone in the last day of service of the academic year. Learn more about Pitt Be a Good Neighbor Day.

Signature Days of Service Committee

The Signature Days of Service Committee is the student team that brings you all three signature service days at Pitt: Civic Action Week, MLK Day of Service, and Be a Good Neighbor Day. Our committee coordinates opportunities for more than 1500 students to spend each Day of Service volunteering in various Pittsburgh communities.
