Involvement/Accolades:

  • Judicial Chair of Student Government Board. The Judicial Chair performs two important functions: settling disputes within Student Government Board (SGB) and maintaining the SGB governing documents. In addition to these main roles, I have worked with SORC to improve student organization constitutions, advised the Executive Board and Elections Committee on policy, and provided a student voice on the Senate Budget Policies Committee.
  • Triangle Fraternity. I have served as a leader in my social STEM fraternity for three years in various roles, including VP of Membership, Brotherhood Chair, Secretary, and Social Chair. My year on the Executive Board as VP of Membership was perhaps the most formative and rewarding leadership experience in my college career. In that role, I delivered a leadership-focused new member education curriculum, organized brotherhood events to promote bonding, and retained the most new members for the chapter since 2007.
  • Organic Chemistry TA. I served as an Organic Chemistry TA for two semesters, which allowed me to lead weekly office hour sessions. I loved the creative challenge of finding new ways to teach students who needed another perspective on complex ideas.
  • George Washington Prize Winner (2025). This spring, I won the George Washington Prize, a $2500 award given to one outstanding senior from the Swanson School of Engineering every year. I had the honor of representing the Chemical Engineering department in my candidacy for this award.
  • Triangle Fraternity Outstanding Engineer of the Year (2024). Last summer, I was honored at the Triangle Fraternity National Convention for my academic and professional accomplishments. This award recognizes one brother out of all active brothers from roughly 40 chapters nationwide.
  • Lubrizol Foundation Scholarship (2023). I was one of three Chemical Engineering students to receive a $2,000 award for academic excellence. Not only have I maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA at college, but I have received an A+ in 29 out of 42 courses I have taken for a letter grade at Pitt, including every Chemical Engineering class I have taken so far.
  • Stamps Scholarship (2021). Jointly funded by Pitt and the Stamps Foundation, the Stamps Scholarship covers my cost of attendance and provides additional funding for enrichment experiences like study abroad. I have used this funding to participate in three study abroad trips (Plus3 Cyprus, Leadership in the Himalayas, and Outward Bound Costa Rica) that have accelerated my leadership development and vastly increased my global and cultural awareness.
  • Alternative Spring Break. In March 2023, I spent my spring break in Oakland volunteering in Pittsburgh neighborhoods for eight hours a day. We cultivated a community garden in Garfield, hauled boxes in food pantries, pushed wheelbarrows of chicken feed on a farm, cleaned a transitional housing facility in North Braddock, and broke rocks with sledgehammers on a housing project.
  • PittServes Signature Days of Service. I have volunteered at every Civic Action Week and MLK Day service event in my time at Pitt. Some highlights include raking leaves on a historical site, reorganizing a preschool library from top to bottom, teaching science to young children, dumping wheelbarrows of dirt on a developing garden project, and painting a firehouse. Through events like these (and others), I have accumulated 175 hours of community service in my time at Pitt.
  • Leadership in the Himalayas. I participated in a month-long leadership program in India which culminated in a 10-day unsupported hike through the Indian Himalayas.
  • Panther Leadership Academy. In my freshmen year, I completed Sections 01 and 02 of Panther Leadership Academy, a 20-week program designed to help students learn new leadership strategies and discover their unique leadership styles.
  • Outside the Classroom Curriculum (OCC). I have completed both the regular OCC and the Honors OCC. Both curricula encouraged me to attend fun, enriching events around campus that I might not have otherwise attended.
  • Greek Sing. My fraternity, Triangle, partnered with Delta Zeta and Tau Kappa Epsilon to deliver a 10-minute dance on Bigelow Boulevard. After practicing for four to six hours a week from October to April, we performed on stage and won the competition!

Future Plans:

"After graduation, I will join Merck's Manufacturing Leadership Development Program. This program features three one-year rotations in critical roles across the manufacturing division at Merck. I cannot wait to help develop and manufacture life-saving drugs across the U.S. and the world!"
