Join us as we embark on Alternative Service Break for the 2026-27 school year! Alternative Service Break, or ASB for short, allows students to have an immersive community service experience during different student break periods.
Currently, there are three different offerings, one for Fall Break and two for Spring Break. Students can sign up to go perform service work in collaboration with different non-profits in the region, state or country. Each of these trips centers a particular social justice issue, and students will have the chance to both educate themselves on the topic and assist with the work that relevant community-based organizations are doing.
After an initial deposit to secure your place on the trip, all of the funding, transportation, lodging and meals are provided by the office of PittServes. Students will also enjoy one planned cultural immersion day, where you can visit local attractions and tour the area.
