Cristine Izaguirre

Doctoral Intern

Cristine is a doctoral intern earning her PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver. She also received her MA in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver and her master’s in public health (MPH) as well as her BS in psychology from the University of Miami. Cristine’s professional interests include identity development, health promotion, interpersonal concerns, trauma, and women’s issues. Cristine uses a Humanistic and Strengths-Based framework for therapy and incorporates elements of narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and solution-focused therapy to empower clients for lifelong success and wellbeing. During leisure time, Cristine enjoys knitting, writing poetry, and cooking for friends and family.
