Nicolas Bove

Nicolas Bove is a Nordenberg Scholar and a sophomore at the Swanson School of Engineering and the Frederick Honors College. When not studying at Hillman or working on projects in the makerspaces, Nick stays involved in a variety of clubs and organizations. Nick is a leader at Cornerstone, a Christian ministry for college students at Pitt and neighboring universities. He helps plan and coordinate events that bring students together for food, fellowship, and worship. Nick also plays for Pitt’s Club Ultimate Frisbee B team and has gone to several tournaments, including the 2024-2025 Ohio Valley D-I College Men's Regionals. During his first year, Nick sharpened his leadership skills by completing the two-semester Panther Leadership Academy Program as well as attending the Panther Leadership Summit. Nick has also had the privilege to attend several conferences, like the renowned 2024 Eradicate Hate Global Summit and the Coalition for Christian Outreach’s Jubilee Conference. He also presented at Pitt’s Spring 2025 Design Expo, where he and his team displayed their semi-autonomous package delivery robot. Nick is also extremely dedicated to service, volunteering with the Food Recovery Heroes his freshmen year and doing a week-long mission trip building houses in Beattyville, KY over the summer. He also served through the OA, an honor society within the Boy Scouts of America, by building and maintaining trails over the course of a week in New Mexico. Being awarded a Martinson Elevate Scholarship, Nick had the opportunity to participate in the two-week Plus3: Korea study abroad program run through the engineering department. With a passion for traveling, Nick is studying abroad for the entire Spring 2026 semester at the Technical University of Denmark. When he returns to Pittsburgh in the summer, he will be starting at GAI Consultants as a Transmission and Distribution Intern.
