Collegiate Panhellenic Association

Collegiate Panhellenic Association (Panhel) is the governing body for the National Panhellenic Conference sororities and associative members at the University of Pittsburgh.  This governing body provides educational opportunities, resources, networking opportunities, and accountability for the 15 chapters on campus. All potential new members must have at least 12 college credits from the University of Pittsburgh (or another higher education institution) and a minimum of 2.5 GPAs.

National Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment

 

Spring 2022 Continuous Open Bidding Recruitment: Chapters who are eligible can participate in Continuous Open Bidding or COB recruitment. COB starts after the end of Panhellenic formal recruitment (Monday, January 23). If you would like to be contacted by chapters who are participating in COB, please email the Vice President of Recruitment with questions. All potential new members participating in COB recruitment will need to complete the Fraternity and Sorority Life Policy Agreements.

 

Spring 2022 Formal Recruitment: Spring Panhellenic Recruitment Formal Recruitment is a two-weekend series of events. This mutual selection format is an opportunity for students to meet sorority members, ask questions, and define financial obligations, time commitments, and membership requirements. Participation in this particular recruitment format is limited to the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities of our Council. Students wanting to participate in formal recruitment must register, attend a Fraternity and Sorority Life 101 session, pay a $15 fee, and meet the academic standards. The fee covers meals, a t-shirt, and other materials needed for recruitment.

Please note that attendance at all recruitment dates is mandatory.

Interested students must register by 11:59pm on Wednesday, January 11. Registration can take about 20 minutes to complete, and it is best completed from a desktop or a laptop with a stable internet connection.
