Build Your Brand

From conducting mock interviews and reviewing résumés to hosting information sessions or connecting with a student organization, there are a variety of ways to help increase your organization’s visibility and recognition on campus. For assistance or guidance with any of the services outlined below, please contact our Employer Relations Coordinator at employer@pitt.edu.

Help Students Develop their Résumés and Interviewing Skills

Help students prepare for and reduce the stress of an actual job interview by participating in mock interviews or résumé reviews. Each 30 minute session includes a practice interview or résumé review and recruiter feedback with tips and techniques to help students improve their interviewing, communication skills, or résumé. Contact the Employer Relations Coordinator to schedule a session.

Host a Panther Shadow

The Panther Shadow Program takes job shadowing to the next level! Groups of Pitt students visit your place of business to learn more about your organization and industry. The Panther Shadow Program is a great way to showcase your workplace, introduce students to key people within your organization, and increase your brand’s visibility among students who are seeking out internships and full-time employment opportunities upon graduation. Not located in Pittsburgh? Shadow in Your City connects students to employers located in Philadelphia, New York City, and Washington, DC. Contact an Employment Development Specialist to schedule a Panther Shadow visit.

Host an Employer Information Session

Give a presentation about your company and its opportunities to students in the William Pitt Union prior to your scheduled On-Campus Interview session. Contact the Employer Relations Coordinator for more information.

Talk to Student Organizations

Students welcome the opportunity to learn outside the classroom. Share helpful insights on trends or opportunities within your field or industry. Contact an Employment Development Specialist to help connect you to student clubs and organizations that may have an interest in your organization or company.
