Collegiate Panhellenic Association

Collegiate Panhellenic Association (Panhel) is the governing body for the National Panhellenic Conference sororities and associative members at the University of Pittsburgh. For the fall 2020 semester, Panhel meetings are 08/26, 09/09, 09/23, 10/07, 10/21, 11/04, and  11/18. If you would like to be on the agenda please contact Panhellenic President. Meet the Panhellenic Sororities: This is an open house styled event to meet and interact with all the Panhellenic sororities at the University of Pittsburgh. Due to COVID-19 these events will be the virtual, so please check back for more information about registration.

Fall Recruitment: Fall Panhellenic recruitment is open to University of Pittsburgh students with 12 or more credits or transfer students from a two year or four year institution. Recruitment in the fall is conducted on a chapter by chapter basis. If you are interested in fall recruitment, please attend the Meet the Panhellenic Sororities in September and email the Vice President for Recruitment your interest.

 

Spring Recruitment: Spring Panhellenic Recruitment Formal Recruitment is a two-weekend series of events. This mutual selection format is an opportunity for students to meet sorority members, ask questions, and define financial obligations, time commitments, and membership requirements. Participation in this particular recruitment format is limited to the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) member organizations of our Council.

 

Given COVID-19, Panhellenic Formal Recruitment will most likely be hosted in a hybrid format of virtual and in person events. Please register for recruitment early, so you can receive regular updates. Registration takes about 20-30 minutes, we recommend completing it on a laptop or desktop computer. Due to virtual format, all students who register for spring formal recruitment must submit a less than one minute video of themselves. Here are instructions for recording your video.

  • Sorority Recruitment Orientation: Thursday, January 9, 2020, 9:00pm
  • First Weekend: Friday, January 10-Sunday, January 12, 2020
  • Second Weekend: Thursday, January 16-Saturday, January 18, 2020
  • Bid Day: Sunday, January 19, 2020
