Welcome from the Director

Steve Anderson 3 CropWelcome to campus living at Pitt, where you can earn a world-class education on a phenomenal campus in the great city of Pittsburgh.
Each year the Office of Residence Life welcomes home over 8,000 students that live on campus. Our residence halls provide many opportunities for you to create lifelong friendships, build leadership skills, engage, and support you on the road to graduation and success beyond Pitt. To get the most out of your Pitt experience, we sponsor over 3,000 programs annually, as well as offer many leadership opportunities; such as Hall Council, the Resident Student Association, National Residence Hall Honorary, or by applying to be a Resident Assistant. You can even take your experience further by living in one of our Living Learning Communities, which connects your academics to outside the classroom experiences.

Living on campus enhances your academic journey and is a springboard to all our campus has to offer. Living on campus allows you to learn about yourself all while joining a community with people from all over the globe that call Pitt home. It also offers the convenience of short walks to classes, living in a safe, secure and affordable environment, and, not to mention, being close to many food options. No matter which hall you live in, you will find caring Residence Life student and professional staff members that are here to help you get the most out of your college experience.

Living in our residential community will be one of the most rewarding experiences during your time at Pitt. It will support and challenge you to experience and accomplish more than you thought possible.

Welcome home and welcome to Pitt! Reach out with any questions.
