About the Pantry

PittServes is committed to ensuring that all students have regular access to healthy food options. The Pitt Pantry was created in spring 2015 with the generous support of University of Pittsburgh Housing, Sodexo, and donations from the university staff and greater Pittsburgh community.

The Pitt Pantry is dedicated to ensuring that all students have regular access to a balanced and nutritious diet by hosting regular shopping hours to obtain food and services. It is completely volunteer-run and operates on charitable donations received from individuals and organizations within the community.

Vice President of Marketing, Outreach, & Events- Airi Tilley

Welcome to the Pitt Pantry! My name is Airi (“I-dee”) Tilley. I am currently a senior completing my degree in Corporate & Community relations with a GSWS minor. Many first generation college students like myself come from a lower income background where resources like the “Pitt Pantry” are essential to our academic careers. I have made it my mission to destigmatize topics surrounding food insecurity and poverty amongst college students. I currently run our social media pages and lead event tabling for the pantry. My hope is to combat the unhealthy behavior that is normalized with students revolving around hunger and promote healthier/safer alternatives.
