10th Annual Pitt Make a Difference Day
On October 21st, 2017, Pitt students gave back to the community during our 10th Annual Pitt Make a Difference Day. 4,194 students and faculty members served the many communities in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas!
Thank you to all of the communities and organizations, including our Community Partners, that allowed our students to give back during a day of service! We would also like to thank all of the students and faculty members who volunteered! We encourage every student and prospective student to make PMADD a part of their Pitt Story!

This year we served over 50 different communities in various cities, towns, and neighborhoods!

Together, we served over 90 organizations, centers, parks, and associations, including our Community Partners!

Students volunteered in various ways including gardening, trash clean ups, renovating, interacting with members of the community, and many more!
Community Partner Grant
In March of 2017, 10,000 dollars was awarded to the University of Pittsburgh by National Make a Difference Day to support community projects on campuses striving to make a difference in their communities! This year, the University of Pittsburgh donated that money to neighborhood projects in the communities of Beechview, Millvale, and Brighton Heights.
Engage Pitt Campaign
We would also like to thank our online donors who helped us raise over 3,100 dollars to ensure that our campus could properly implement our day of service! EngagePitt funds allow us to broaden our impact of Sustainability projects during PMADD! Donations are still being accepted and go directly to ensuring that we can effectively give back to communities that so many call home.
