Fees and Payment

All full-time undergraduate, graduate and professional students pay a mandatory student health fee each semester and as a result, most SHS services are provided free of charge.

The student health fee enables the SHS to provide primary health care as well as health promotion programs and education at little or no additional cost to the student.

The student health fee appears on the tuition statement.

  • $85/Semester:  Is applied to the Fall, Spring and Summer Terms
  • $170/year:        Applies to medical students only

Part-time students may purchase the fee when paying your tuition bill or at the Student Health Service.

The Student Health Fee pays for:

  • Women’s gynecologic services; including routine examinations, sexually transmitted disease testing, and contraceptive counseling
  • Men’s primary health care services

However, there are minimal fees for select services including care provided outside SHS. All additional charges must be paid at the time of the visit.
