Cough?

What to try first:   Drink plenty of water. This will naturally help your body release the mucus from your lungs.   Remember, a cough is your body’s natural way of ridding itself of toxins.   Rest and a vaporizer may also help.

Sore Throat?

What to try first:   Gargling warm salt water every few hours and drinking warm tea with honey can naturally help calm an achy throat.

Congestion?

What to try first:   Get plenty of rest to help your body fight the infection naturally.   Vaporizers may help relieve congestion, and elevating your head during sleep may allow you to more easily breath through your nose.

Runny Nose?

What to try first:   If symptoms are related to allergens, avoid triggers if possible (I.e. pollen, animals, dust).   Use a vaporizer or humidifier to help relieve symptoms.

Fever?

What to try first:   Rest more than usual to help your body fight the infection naturally.   Remember that fever is your bodies way of killing off the infection in you, and the more rest you get the better it will be able to do so!   Drink plenty of fluids as well.

Want to prevent yourself from becoming sick?

What to try first:   Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds.   Cover your mouth with tissues when coughing or sneezing.   Clean surfaces in your home with a disinfect regularly, especially if someone else in the home is sick.
