How to Apply
First-year LLC Application Process
Incoming first-year students apply for an LLC via the Housing and Dining application. This application typically opens in late-February. Incoming students receive a mailed packet of information from Panther Central on a rolling bias with information about apply for housing, selecting a meal plan, and applying for an LLC.
When completing their Housing and Dining application, students will have the opportunity to select their first-choice LLC. After completing the remainder of the Housing and Dining application, students who selected an LLC option will be automatically redirected to the LLC application and be asked to answer two to three short answer questions. As a part of the LLC application students will have the opportunity to select a second-choice LLC. We strongly encourage all students to select a second-choice LLC. Selecting a second-choice LLC does NOT require answering another set of short answer questions. LLC staff members review all applications and notify students of their LLC placement in late-June. Please note that notification of acceptance into an LLC does not include building, room, or roommate information. Building, room, and roommate information is sent by Panther Central in mid- to late-July.
Upperclass LLC Application Process
Upperclass students should receive an email from Panther Central in early January with information about applying for housing. Students with guaranteed housing status are issued a lottery number and must fill out a Housing and Dining application and contract and pay the contract fee in order to be considered for an LLC. Within the Housing and Dining application students have the opportunity to indicate interest in, and apply for, a particular LLC. Please note that if you are selected for an LLC you forfeit the right to participate in the remainder of the upperclass housing process.
Once a student completes their LLC application they are emailed a form they can complete if they would like to request specific roommates and/or suitemates. That form includes a deadline for submission to the Office of Residence Life in WPU 935. Students selected to live in an upperclass LLC are notified by Residence Life and provided with further instructions regarding suite/room selection and applicable deadlines.
What happens if I am not selected for an LLC?
Students not selected for an LLC, whether incoming first-year or upperclass, have the opportunity to continue general room selection with all other students.
