Writing and Marketing Internship

Responsibilities will include:

  • Write and edit articles and feature stories for various publications including magazines, internal and external newsletters, brochures, and other publications;
  • Develop and maintain Web sites;
  • Assist with design of brochures, newsletters, display advertising, and other printed materials;
  • Assist with the development of PowerPoint presentations and videos; and
  • Provide support in producing other print and electronic marketing communications materials.
  • Assist in video production and on-camera work.

The ideal candidate will have proven writing and editing skills along with some graphic design skills and experience working with the Adobe Design Premium CS6 software package (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), as well as Microsoft Office.

 

Candidates should be able thrive in a fast-paced environment, work well individually and as a member of a team, have excellent attention to detail, and be able to meet deadlines. Hours are flexible.

Graphic Design Internship

Responsibilities will include:

  • Design brochures, newsletters, display advertising, and other printed materials;
  • Design slides for Pitt’s expanding network of digital TVs
  • Assist with the development of PowerPoint presentations;
  • Assist with coordination of photography; and
  • Provide support in producing other print and electronic marketing communications materials.

The ideal candidate will have proven graphic design skills and experience working with the Adobe Design Premium CS6 software package (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver), as well as Microsoft Office.

 

Candidates should be able thrive in a fast-paced environment, work well individually and as a member of a team, have excellent attention to detail, and be able to meet deadlines.   Some writing, editorial, and photography skills also would be beneficial. Hours are flexible.

Video Production Internship

Responsibilities will include:

  • Use camera, sound, and lighting equipment to film various campus functions
  • Conduct on-camera interviews
  • Write scripts for videos
  • Oversee video projects from pre to post production
  • Use video editing software to finalize products

The ideal candidate will have proven video production and editing skills with experience in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or related software. Familiarity with Canon DSLRs is preferred.

 

Candidates should be creative and able thrive in a fast-paced environment, work well individually and as a team member, have excellent attention to detail, handle constructive criticism, and able to meet deadlines. Hours are flexible and often include weekends and evenings as well as office hours.

Photography Internship

Responsibilities will include:

  • Use camera and lighting equipment to photograph various campus events
  • Organize and maintain photo library
  • Use creative suite software to correct and enhance photos
  • Distribute finalized photos to departments and clients

The ideal candidate will have proven photography, lighting, composition, and editing skills with experience in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or related software. Familiarity with Canon DSLRs, and flash units are preferred.
