At Pitt, we recognize that commuter students face different obstacles during college than students who live in the residence halls. That’s why we created the office for Commuter Student Programs.
Commuting during your first (or freshman) year, in particular, can be very challenging—and sometimes overwhelming. The majority of our programs focus on getting first-year commuters connected to campus, while still supporting all commuter students through advocacy and services.
The mission of Commuter Student Programs is to enhance the collegiate experience of commuter students through programs and services designed to provide them with information, resources, and opportunities unique to the commuter student population.
