I had plans to study abroad this summer.  What do I do now?

We understand how disappointing these changes have been.  Given the inability for most people to travel internationally in the near future, this would be an excellent time to explore summer employment or an internship. Many employers are still hiring for both. Please see the above question regarding looking for summer jobs and internships and assistance from our team.

I had plans to do an internship this summer. Will I be able to and if not, what do I do?

In the midst of the current circumstances it is hard to know which organizations will continue to remain open.  We recommend communicating with your internship site for specific information.  Additionally, if you had plans to complete an internship for academic credit, please contact your academic advisor as soon as possible to discuss the situation.  From there, if your opportunity is unfortunately no longer available, please set up an appointment with your Career Consultant or Internship Team member to discuss different ways to spend your summer. See information above about scheduling an appointment in Handshake.

I need help planning for graduate school applications and timeline.

Your Career Consultant can provide specific guidance on preparing for graduate school. A list of consultants by portfolio can be found here. See information above about scheduling an appointment in Handshake.

Yes!  Please reach out to the OCC staff to learn about the status of OCC credit opportunities at occpitt@pitt.edu, or schedule an OCC appointment in Handshake.  See information above about scheduling an appointment in Handshake.
