Stasia started with the office in January 2014 where she works with Arts & Sciences and Pre-Business majors and all students who’re interested in careers abroad. Stasia manages the Global Career Series which bridges international and domestic students together through career-related programming. She co-created Pitt’s first-ever “career-centered re-entry program” for students returning from international internships and plans all of the International Education Week programs for CDPA each fall. Stasia also Co-Manages a goal team in the office dedicated to diverse student populations on-campus through the Diversity and Inclusion Career Workshop Series. Stasia serves on multiple committees on campus for International Week and the Anthony and Concetta Ambrosio Internship Award. She has also served as the On-Site Chair of the 1st annual Three Rivers Returnee Conference and the Co-Chair of Career & Professional Development for the 2nd annual conference.

 

Stasia is passionate about global education and career and studied/lived abroad in Rome, Italy. She has presented at conferences and holds either past or present professional memberships with: Eastern Association of Colleges and Employers (EACE), PennACE, the National Career Development Association (NCDA), Global Internship Conference, NAFSA, NACADA, & NASPA, among others.  Stasia earned a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Robert Morris University. She is MBTI certified and has received Allies Network training and supervises interns in the CDPA office.  Stasia has lived in Charleston, S.C.; Miami, FL; Kalamazoo, MI; Rome, Italy, and of course, Pittsburgh, where she calls home with her husband and daughter, adorable kitty Zorro, and family. Stasia looks forward to serving the students at Pitt and helping them with their career planning needs and development.
