Sexual Assault Services
Visit the University of Pittsburgh Office of Sexual Harassment and Assault Response and Prevention (SHARE) for comprehensive information about programs and services.
The sexual assault services program of the University Counseling Center (UCC) offers specialized counseling services designed to assist students who have experienced sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, and harassment.
Individual counseling, group counseling, and crisis intervention are provided. These specialized services are coordinated and offered by the Sexual Assault Specialist who is a UCC clinician with expertise in evaluating, treating, and addressing issues associated with sexual victimization.
In addition, the Sexual Assault Specialist assists University students with obtaining medical, police, and judicial resources within the University of Pittsburgh and the local community. An integral component of Sexual Assault Services is Let’s RAVE (Let’s Raise Awareness and Victim Empowerment) which is an outreach peer education program consisting of students who volunteer to educate their peers about issues relating to the prevention of sexual assault and sexual victimization.
To access any of the specialized services of the sexual assault services program or to request a consultation, contact the UCC Coordinator of Sexual Assault Services at 412-648-7930 (8:30 am-5:00 pm, Monday-Friday) or 412-648-7856 (after 5 pm, Monday-Friday or on weekends).
