The University is deeply committed to ensuring that each student has the resources needed to develop a career plan, and the necessary support needed when it comes time to search for internships, apply to graduate or professional school, or pursue full-time career opportunities.
Career Development Office
Consultants in the Career Development Office (CDO) work closely with younger students to help them develop a career action plan, which could
include assistance in choosing a major,learning how to build a network of professionals, and navigate a career fair. CDO helps students develop resumes and cover letters and provides assistance with interview preparation.
Student Employment and Placement Assistance
Employment specialists in the Office of Student Employment and Placement Assistance (SEPA) work closely with recruiters from all sectors, including public corporations, private businesses,
nonprofit organizations, and government entities to help Pitt students pursuing careers in any field find employment opportunities. SEPA sponsors an on-campus career fair in the fall and spring, on-campus interview sessions, and much more.
